More than 1 million antidrug booklets distributed by Scientologists in Cortina Olympics
A large-scale drug awareness effort in Italy has gone beyond over one million drug-prevention booklets distributed in the past month. The initiative forms part of the drug awareness programme known as “The Truth About Drugs”, which aims to provide factual education about commonly abused substances and their short- and long-term effects.
Approximately five hundred volunteers are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in schools, businesses and urban centres. The campaign focuses on raising awareness before drug use begins, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a simple way.
The news europe initiative forms part of Scientology-supported social betterment activities, inspired by the work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. Full details about the campaign can be found here: Italy’s Drug Prevention Campaign Surpasses One Million Booklets Distributed in One Month.
